Head of the Cuyahoga

What:    The 2016 Head of the Cuyahoga is a timed, 5,000 meter rowing race on the Cuyahoga River, starting at the I 490 bridge and finishing at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation Boathouse at Rivergate Park on the Columbus Road Peninsula in downtown Cleveland.

 

When:    Saturday, September 17. Racing will start at 8:30am and continue until 3:30pm.

 

Who:    We expect over 1,000 competitors from 8 states and Canada, and there will be over 250 racing shells including singles, doubles, fours, and eights.  The competitors are put into brackets based upon their type of boat, age, and experience.  They start single file and race down the course against the clock. Among those competing will be Harvard oarsmen Charlie Braun, Brad Whitehead, Kevin Roberts, Jon Adams, and Bill Braun

 

VIP Hospitality Tent:    Between 11:30am to 1:30pm on Saturday all members of the Harvard Club and other Ivy League affiliates are invited to visit the VIP Tent                 which will be in the Cleveland Metropark's Merwin's Wharf Restaurant on the Cuyahoga at the southern end of the Columbus Road peninsula.
