Take a break from winter with a visit to Orchid-mania at the Cleveland Botanic Garden (CBG)

We’ve arranged a Harvard Club visit on Sunday, February 19 at 1:00 pm. At Orchid-mania, you can enjoy thousands of orchids in every shape, size, scent and stunning color. Be sure to bring your camera along, the show attracts many photographers every year.

The Greater Cleveland Orchid Society Show and Sale will also be underway so plan to take some tropical orchids home and enjoy a break from winter.

Meet in the café, between 12 and 1 pm and check in with Mary Ann Lasch.  If you come on the early side of the hour, you can mingle with friends, have lunch or coffee in the café, or browse the orchid sale.

At 1:00 pm, we will join a planned walking tour of the Orchid Show.  A Cleveland Orchid Club Member will lead orchid enthusiasts through the show and point out some of the more unique orchids in bloom and share fascinating stories about these rare jungle plants. And if you want to indulge in more orchid mania, you can stay and consult with the Orchid Doctor at 2:00 pm about any ailments your orchids may have or the proper care for your newly acquired plants.

There is $5 fee to the Harvard Club for those 12 and older.  Please make your reservation at mary.ann.lasch@aecom.com.

You will be responsible for your own admission fee to CBG.  Admission to the Garden and Orchid-mania is free for CBG/Holden Arboretum members, $11 for non-member adults and $6 for non-member children, 3-12 years.   There is a fee for the very convenient parking beneath CBG.
