Dinner with Dr. Susan Helper, 
Former US Department of Commerce Chief Economist
Thursday, February 18th at the Cleveland Skating Club.
Please join us as we welcome back our colleague and esteemed Harvard alumna Dr. Susan Helper (1987 Ph.D. in economics), who has recently returned to Case Western Reserve University after three years in Washington, first as Senior Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers in the White House and then as Chief Economist of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She is an expert in reinvigorating the U.S. manufacturing economy, specializing in helping small manufacturers supplying parts to the US auto industry.
The title of Susan's talk is Rebuilding US Manufacturing for Innovation and Good Jobs.
She will also answer questions and tell us what it’s like to work in the nation’s capital.
