Fall Dinner with Scott Abell
Tuesday, 17 October 2017
SCOTT ABELL ’72, President of the Harvard Board of Overseers
Don’t miss hearing our own Scott Abell, the new president of the Harvard Board of Overseers, speak to us after dinner at the Cleveland Skating Club on October 17. President Drew Faust’s announcement that she will retire next summer has thrust Scott into the center of the search for a new University president. Although Scott says he can’t promise to give us the inside scoop, he will "share some of the challenges facing higher education, large research universities, and Harvard in particular, in the coming decade."
NOTE: If you are trying to reserve after Friday, you still can, but the Skating Club will charge us $3 extra for your meal and you need to reimburse us that $3. Unfortunately, our Harvard-made web site can’t handle that late fee, so you need to call or email board member John Miller at 216 397-9709 or johnmiller@nasw.org to make a reservation anytime from Saturday morning onward through Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m.
